I am so excited to be working with National Hardware to show you just how AMAZING their barn door slider hardware LINKED HERE is! They sent me this product for free but the opinions I give you are my own. They have beautiful designs and a soft close accessory LINKED HERE to keep your (ahem) ok MY kids from slamming the door open and closed.
On top of being cute to look at and practical they are easy to install. I am going to verbally walk you through how to instal while Ty does the actual work! Ty built this beautiful door for our master and I can’t wait to get it put up!
First step, lay out all of this beautiful hardware and make sure you have all of the pieces and tools you need. You need a power drill, wrench, stud finder and level.
Then you attach the header board to the studs through the wall. We don’t need this step because our shiplap acts as a header board and is secured to studs. Make sure the header board is level so that the door hangs square.
Second, Center the track on the header and mark the spot. Drill a hole where marked and attach the bolts to the header board. Repeat this step and secure each bolt with fasteners.
Next, attach the rolling pieces to the actual door using template provided by national hardware.
They have thorough steps provided in the kit you purchase.
These “U” shape pieces are the reason I chose this barn door kit because it mimics the shape of my Magnolia bed and makes my design heart happy!
After, you can just slide the u shaped hardware into the main bar.
Then attach the stoppers to keep the door safe on the track. You can then place the floor stopper by screwing it into the floor.
One of my favorite parts is attaching this beautiful streamlined door handle.
When all of the pieces come together you are left with a beautiful and easy sliding door.
I was so thrilled to partner with them because of the amazing quality products they provide. If you have been wanting a sliding barn door make sure you to visit National Hardware for the BEST most stylish hardware LINKED HERE I have been able to find!
